Ever since the political crisis erupted in Ivory Coast, Nana Addo has not hidden his support for the internationally

Rumors are that the French government has pledged support for Nana Addo and the NPP following Nana Addo’s stance on the crisis and his perceived alliance with Mr Ouattara.
However, the NPP has rebuffed these rumors, describing it as a conspiracy theory to rope Nana Addo into the ongoing political stalemate in Ivory Coast.
The Deputy Communications Director for the NPP, Perry Okudzeto explains to Xfm 95.1 that even though Nana Addo’s posture all the while has been to support Mr Ouattara because he clearly won the election, he was not in any form of alliance with him.
What is more, he says Nana Addo, who served as a Foreign Minister in the erstwhile Kufuor administration happened to have worked hand in hand with both Messrs Ouattara and Gbagbo at the onset of the dispute and so has an already-made relationship with Mr Ouattara.
He says Nana Addo has sought to stay within the tenets and principles of democracy, stressing, “that is what you do in

Perry Okudzeto also debunked allegations that the French government had made overtures to Nana Addo, accusing “the Kwesi Pratt’s of this world and those who have been PR’s for Gbagbo” of trying to prove to the world that it is the imperialist that are imposing their will on the people of Ivory Coast, and would want to rope Nana Addo in the mayhem.
“As I speak to you, there have been no overtures made to the NPP from the French Embassy. I suspect some kind of conspiracy theory. Those who have been following Gbagbo all these while and making sure that he imposes himself on the Ivorians, with the capture of Gbagbo, they are trying to shift the debate by pulling in Nana Addo and the French embassy, but I do not think this will work.”
Perry Okudzeto questioned the need to support Mr Gbagbo when there are clear indications that he had lost the elections, asking further, what the NDC’s posture would have been had Nana Addo not conceded defeat in 2008 when the NPP lost the elections “by a very close margin of 40, 000”.
“Nana Addo said he did not want to spill the blood of a single Ghanaian and so because of the love and vision he had for
Fivefingers Kso-Vibram fivefingers Kso online this country, he would not waste one minute in agreeing that he had lost the election; and therefore he stepped aside and allowed the winner to take over. Why can’t the same thing be done in Ivory Coast?”
“And why are the same people who were pushing that we had lost the election and so we should go, why are they now saying that someone who lost the election on the other side should stay, and covering up with all these conspiracy theory? Gbagbo has been captured, that country is going to resolve its issues and move on as a nation”.
